A necessary meeting of the Indian Journalist Association ®West Bengal unit was held at the office. The meeting was chaired by the State Senior Vice President Dr. Arun Kumar and Sumit Mazumdar conducted it. In the meeting, along with discussing various burning problems related to journalists, discussions were held on the interests of journalists.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Guest, State President Devashish Chatterjee called upon the journalists to forget the differences and remain united so that no one would dare to harass the journalist. The Indian Journalist Association® is a pioneer organization continuously fighting for the protection of journalist interest, respect and rights
Shri Chatterjee further said that the emphasis was on strengthening the organizational structure to keep the Indian Journalist Association® dynamic.
While addressing the meeting, Dr. Arun Kumar said that along with the safety of journalists, I will always be ahead with my happiness and sorrow.
Journalists like Somnath Chakraborty, Shyamal Sinha, Buddhadev Mishra, Lalitha Kumari, Aslam Ahmed, Shubham Chatterjee, Sumit Mazumdar, Gopal Chakraborty, Sheeb Das Banerjee, Pratap Das, Aseem Rai, Swapnil Adhikari etc. were present.
