Indian Journalist Association celebrated National Press Day.

 Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Under the aegis of Indian Journalist Association, the program on National Press Day was celebrated at National Administrative Office Ghazi Rauja, Gorakhpur.  Addressing the program, National President Seraj Ahmad Quraishi said that National Press Day is celebrated every year on 16 November as a symbol of free and responsible press in India.  It is on this day that the Press Council of India (PCI) began acting as the moral watchdog to ensure that not only does the press maintain the high standards expected of this powerful medium, but also that it does not succumb to the influence of any external factors.  or be affected by threats. The Press Council of India adjudicates complaints by the press for violations of ethics and freedom of the press.
on this occasion State Secretary Awneesh Tripathi, Akhileshwar Dhar Dwivedi, Dr. Atiq Ahmad, Giriraj Singh, Dr. Ved Prakash Nishad, Dr.Shakeel Ahmed, Naved Alam, Anshul Verma.  Mohammad Azam, Rafi Ahmed Satish Mani Tripathi, Mohammad Ismail, Satish Chand, Parvez Akhtar, Shravan Kumar Gupta, Wajihuddin, Ramashankar Gupta, Mudassir Hussain, Zubair Alam, Sunil Kumar Bharti, Amarjeet Sahni etc. were present.
