The Journalist Award Ceremony by the Gorakhpur unit of the Indian Journalist Association, a leading organization constantly fighting for world-class journalistic interests, was held at the National Administrative Office, Ghazi Rauja Tiraha. National President Seraj Ahmad Quraishi honored all the journalists by giving them letters of honor, the chief guest of the ceremony. The purpose of the award ceremony is to realize the spirit of public welfare by awakening journalism in the interest of society and the nation.
Addressing the function, National President Seraj Ahmad Quraishi said that the role of the fourth pillar of democracy is most important in today's era. Journalists should be fearless and honestly discharge their duties.
Mr. Qureshi further said to honor and appreciate the journalists who work selflessly in the progress of society and nation is our pride.
On this occasion, Mr. Avnish Tripathi, Vivek Kumar Srivastava, Mohammad Irfanullah, Naved Alam, Satish Mani Tripathi, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Mohammad Azam, Shravan Kumar, Karunakar Ram Tripathi, Anshul Verma, Rajan Ram Tripathi, Vijay Modanwal, Dr. Atiq Ahmed, Ajay Kumar Modanwal, Satish Chand, Zubair Alam, Mohammad Parvez Akhtar, Dr. Journalists like Ved Prakash Nishad, Rafiq Ahmed, Mohammad Ismail, Mohammad Ahmed Khan, Akhileshwar Dhar Dwivedi, Ahad Karim Khan, Amarjit Sahni, Ramashankar Gupta, Mudassir Hussain, Sunil Kumar Bharti, Wajihuddin, Abdul Wasir, Surya Pratap Pandey etc. were honored.
